    • Blepharophimosis-ptosis-epicanthus inversus syndrome. Features

      • Blepharophimosis (narrowed palpebral fissure)
      • Telecanthus (wide intercanthal distance)
      • Ptosis
      • Epicanthus inversus (extra skin fold from the lower lid extending to the upper lid and covering the medial canthus)
    • Autosomal dominant: FOXL2 gene on chromosome 3

    • Inherited 5:1 from males as most women with the condition have early loss of ovarian function

    • High risk of amblyopia due to ptosis interfering with the visual axis

  • Strabismus

  • Telecanthus

  • Anterior segment dysgenesis (Peter’s and Axenfeld’s anomalies)
